MoonMail has a strict anti-spam policy. We do not tolerate the use of our platform to send unsolicited bulk emails or any form of spam.

What Constitutes Spam

Spam includes, but is not limited to:

  • Emails sent to recipients who have not explicitly opted in
  • Purchased or rented email lists
  • Emails without a clear unsubscribe mechanism
  • Deceptive subject lines or sender information
  • Content that violates CAN-SPAM Act or GDPR regulations
  • Phishing attempts or fraudulent content

Required Practices

All MoonMail users must:

  • Only send emails to recipients who have explicitly opted in
  • Include a clear and functional unsubscribe link in every email
  • Honor unsubscribe requests within 48 hours
  • Use accurate sender information and subject lines
  • Include a valid physical postal address
  • Maintain documentation of consent for all recipients

List Quality Standards

We recommend and encourage:

  • Double opt-in for all new subscribers
  • Regular list cleaning to remove inactive addresses
  • Bounce rate monitoring and management
  • Proper list segmentation
  • Clear privacy policy on signup forms

Enforcement

Violations of this policy will result in:

  • First offense: Warning and account review
  • Second offense: Account suspension for 7 days
  • Third offense: Permanent account termination
  • Severe violations: Immediate permanent ban

Monitoring and Detection

We actively monitor for spam through:

  • Automated spam detection algorithms
  • Bounce and complaint rate monitoring
  • User reports and abuse complaints
  • Regular account audits
  • ISP feedback loops

Reporting Spam

If you receive spam sent through MoonMail, please report it immediately to [email protected] with:

  • The full email including headers
  • Your email address that received the spam
  • Why you believe it's spam

CAN-SPAM Compliance

Consequences of Violation

Users who violate this policy may face:

  • Immediate account suspension or termination
  • Forfeiture of any prepaid fees
